Armor Guard is similar to bedliner coatings with some great differences
Bedliners are sprayed using a plural component system. This requires the A-side (Resin) and B-side (Catalyst) to be kept separate until point of impact, which cures with-in 7 to 14 seconds. Plural systems use aromatic urethanes which are inherently not UV stable and will chalk and fade within 3 to 6 months.
Armor Guard uses a batch mix system, which is an aliphatic urethane system. Aliphatic urethanes are 100% UV stable. Batch systems allow the A-side and B-side to be mixed together prior to application and cures with-in 30 -40 minutes. This allows for custom colors.
